Suits

Tob's is committed to helping you find the right suit for any and every occasion.

Before buying your suits, it is a good idea to take into account how often you will be using your suit. If you wear suits to work often, then it would be better to have a greater number of suits. This allows you to rotate during the week. It is important that each suit can have at least one day’s rest after use to avoid it from wearing out fast.

First off you will need to figure out your suit size, read our guidelines below to help you on your way

  • Generally the size of a men's suit rests on two factors
    • the circumference of the chest
    • and the man's height (broken down into the basic categories short, regular, long, extra length)
  • Using the waist as a guide
    • As a general rule if a man is of average build, then the jacket size is typically six inches larger in the chest than the waist size of his slacks
  • Considering height
    • As an estimate, short suits are appropriate for men between 5'5" and 5'8" tall, regulars for 5'9" to about 6', longs for 6' to 6'2", and extra length for men between 6'3" and 6'5"

However as a suit is an investment the best method of making sure you buy the right size is to come in to any one of our branches and speak to one of our trained sales staff. They will be able to take a few quick measurements and be able to tell you your exact size as well as advise you on the best suit for your build. Click here to contact us
